Philosophy of Mathematics:
Actual Problems

The Faculty of Philosophy and the Faculty of Mechanics
and Mathematics of Lomonosov Moscow State University, the Faculty of Public
Administration of Higher School of Economics (Moscow) are organizing their second
international biannual conference in the philosophy of mathematics.
This inter-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary
international conference seeks to examine and
explore issues surrounding the philosophy of mathematics, mathematics and
logic, mathematics in governing, mathematics in science and humanities, etc. Papers and reports are invited on issues
related to any of the following themes:
- The main problems and trends in the philosophy of mathematics.
- Foundations
of mathematics. Mathematics and logic.
- Philosophical
aspects of the history of mathematics. The future of mathematics
- Mathematization of knowledge.
- Mathematics
in governing.
- Mathematics, computer science
and social aspects of their influence.
- Problems with mathematical
education in the 21st century.

organisers invite philosophers, mathematicians, scientists, specialists in
education to submit abstracts (approximately 700 words) for publication. Abstracts may be in Microsoft Word or RTF formats, following this order:

author(s), b) affiliation, c) title of abstract, e) body
of abstract. Please send your abstract

not receive a reply from us within one week of submission, assume we did not

Moscow is a big city with a wide range of accommodation options from budget to
5 star hotels. We can assist participants in finding the right hotel or in
booking a room at the university hotel.
