New domestic processor MCST-R500 We introduce new domestic microprocessor, named MCST R500. It's produced by
Moscow Center of Sparc Technology "Elbrus MCST", B.A.Babayan is a head of it.
This processor is in repetition work now.
Let's remember, we talk about the specimen of SPARC-compatible family
processors of MCST-R series. This processor was made using 0.13m process
with 8 metallization layers, operates at 450-500MHz, consumes <2W,
features 4.2 million transistors, 20mm crystal,
requires 1.2/3.3V voltage, provides 400 MIPS, 170 MFLOPS performance, and is
encased into 420-pin BGA package.
The new MCST R-500 processors have already been tested in Elbrus 90-micro
computing complex under Solaris, Linux in the vast amount of tasks.
