In near future information is going to appear on Inflatable Equipment
for Rescue and Descent (IERD) which is under joint progress now in Central Science
Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering (CSRIME)- Export and in Babakin
Science Research Centre.
IERD is supposed to be helpful to rescue people and high-value loads from
any floor in a many-storey building in fires and conflagrations as well
as other emergencies when urgent evacuation is needed. While designing the
proposal, the emphasis was put onto human life salvation in extreme situations
which may happen in skyscrapers of a modern megapolis.
Because of unique parameters of IERD one can assume that the project may have
a great future and its rescue facilities will make up a considerable part of
the market of new technology products. IERD is based on technologies which
have been worked out for space vehicle deceleration while entering thick
atmosphere layers.
More detailed information concerning scientific basis of the new product as well
as technical parameters of the equipment you can find on web-site of
